Lakshay Rastogi is all leaps and bounds as he receives Director’s Gold Medal (5-year UG program) and General Proficiency Medal. He cherishes the IITK journey where he discovered the strength to rise above all odds. Lakshay shares his memorable experience:

Q. Tell us about your experience at IIT Kanpur.

A. My ITK journey was very eventful and inspiring. I learned a lot. I failed a lot. And one thing that IIT Kanpur helped me was to help me get back on my feet every time. There were times when I felt I would not lead up to anything. But at the end, what I am now, I'm proud of myself. I'm very proud that I completed the five years here and got these awards. It's been a great journey, something that I will always treasure for the rest of my life.

Q. What does this medal mean to you?

A. Honestly, I think this medal is a very prestigious token for all of my achievements, and it's kind of a best send off once I'm graduating from the Institute.

Q. What are your future goals?

A. So future plans also work in the industry for some time. Get some industry experience and then pursue higher studies.

Q. What are your ultimate future aspirations?

A. Ultimate future goals is to create value. Do something for the society, something for India. I think India is at a great stage right now where it's developing very quickly with some of the smartest people in the world. And I want to be one of those.
