We are delighted to share that Mr. Thangavel Sudeep, M.Tech scholar from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, has received the Best Presentation Award at the Ninth International Conference on Theoretical, Applied, Computational, and Experimental Mechanics (ICTACEM 2025).

The conference was held at Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. His paper, titled “Wake Modifications Arising from a Bio-inspired Flexible Filament Placed on NACA 0012 Airfoil,”explores the impact of a flexible filament, which can be thought of as a 2D analog of the covert feathers found in birds, on induced wake modulations for a symmetric airfoil.

His work is being carried out under the supervision of Prof. Sachin Yashavant Shinde.
