We are delighted to share that Ms. Abhirami Ajith, Ph.D. scholar from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, has been awarded the prestigious William T. Buice III Scholarship by the Rare Book School (RBS), University of Virginia.

This highly competitive international award is granted to a only a small cohort of scholars each year. Valued at USD 1,495, the scholarship covers full tuition for any approved RBS course over the next two years (valid until December 2027). This award will support her in advanced training, particularly for the course "Digital Codicology and Book History" at the University of Pennsylvania, which closely aligns closely with her doctoral research.

Her work is being carried out under the supervision of Prof. T. Ravichandran.
