Ever wondered how jet engines, rockets, or wind turbines become smarter, quieter, and more energy-efficient? The answer lies in the high-speed dance of fluids—and Prof. Ashoke De from IIT Kanpur is leading the way in understanding it.

Using cutting-edge high-fidelity simulations, Prof. De’s research dives deep into how fluids like air and fuel behave under extreme conditions—burning, swirling, vibrating, and interacting with solid surfaces at incredible speeds. His lab tackles multidisciplinary engineering challenges ranging from space propulsion and energy systems to aero-elasticity and mesoscale fluid dynamics.
