National Technology Day is a day of celebration of our country's scientific & technological achievements and their role in the progress of our nation. This year, the Office of Research and Development at IIT Kanpur collaborated with Technopark to hold a series of talks focused on critical sectors of research and development, including Healthcare, Cybersecurity, Defense, and Clean Tech. 

Speakers from IIT Kanpur and industry shared their insights on pressing issues related to research and development. Prof. Sandeep Verma discussed the potential impact of indigenous drug discovery pipelines on future needs in his talk on 'S&T Disruptors in Biomedical Research.' Prof. Sandeep Shukla highlighted the importance of strong cybersecurity programs and policies in his talk on 'Why should we care about cybersecurity?' 

Other speakers included Prof. Raju Gupta, who emphasized the need for innovative solutions to address India's pressing water issues, and Dr. Ajay Kumar who discussed the country's transition towards self-reliance in defense through indigenous technology creation. Shri Sanjay Tandon stressed the importance of synergy between academia, industry, and R&D organizations like DRDO in the ecosystem for R&D and innovation. Mr. Sachin Agarwal reminded us of the imp of investing in technology to achieve self-reliance & drive economic growth and development. The talks showcased the crucial role of research & development in our nation's progress and the need for collaboration between various sectors to achieve success.
