Techkriti, the esteemed flagship event of the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) hosted its highly anticipated 30th edition from 14th March to 17th March, 2024. This momentous celebration of the 30th year offered four days of extravaganza filled with innovation, technology, and entrepreneurial spirit. The theme for this Pearl Jubilee Edition was “The Cosmic Nexus”.

As Asia's largest technical and entrepreneurial festival, Techkriti garners attention from both national and international spheres and attracts a footfall of over 60,000 from around 1500 prestigious colleges worldwide. The event transforms the IITK campus into a hub of intellectual exchange and creative exploration. This year, the various competitions boast a combined reward pool of more than 55 Lakhs and will cater to diverse categories, along with prospects for employment and internships.

The festival featured competitive events spanning various domains, including Robogames, Take Off, Software Corner, Mandakini, Model United Nations, Fintech, ECDC, Design, and Technovation. Techkriti also offers an array of workshops conducted by industry experts from esteemed companies such as CISCO, Mastercard, Autodesk, StockGro, Altair, and more. Covering trending topics from AI/ML to ChatGPT and Electric Vehicles, these workshops provided valuable insights and hands-on learning experiences.

Techkriti hosted workshops on crucial domains such as IoT with Google, Robotics, Drone, and Blockchain Technology, to demonstrate the advancements in science and technology to future engineers and science enthusiasts. Moreover, Techkriti's exhibitions served as platforms to showcase ground-breaking innovations and ideas. Highlights include an Auto Expo featuring a stunning Ferrari and other cars, as well as NAO by Softbank Robotics, a humanoid robot revolutionizing human-robot interaction.

The first day of Techkriti ’24, themed 'The Cosmic Nexus,' kicked off with Ragas' mesmerizing classical melodies, Samay Raina's comedy night, a visually stunning LED show, ending with a Hip-Hop House Party featuring artists Yungsta, Ab 17 and YKSDOG.

The second day of the festival commenced with a thought-provoking panel discussion on the topic of "Renewable Energy and Forest Conservation for a Green Economy", followed by an interactive session with YouTuber Gaurav Thakur. Tech Planet showcased the latest technological advancements and Megaworld offered extreme adrenaline rush. Mesmerizing the crowds, renowned singer and composer Ankit Tiwari created an electrifying atmosphere, while Befikra Tejas concluded the day with his captivating show.

The excitement of the third day of Techkriti '24 commenced with a riveting tech talk by Mr. G. Satheesh Reddy, President of the Aeronautical Society of India and former Chairman of DRDO. A unique "Shark Tank"-style competition, an Auto Expo, and numerous competitions, workshops, networking lunches, and gala dinners, concluding the day with Kunal Grover's beatboxing and Ravator's electrifying EDM music, continued to enthrall the audiences and participants.

The fourth and final day saw the excitement reaching new heights with Gaurav Juyal, the host of the popular show Art Attack, renowned film writer Yahya Bootwala, workshops in emerging fields like Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science, KY Collective’s soulful and Farhan Akhtar's high energy performances.

As Techkriti '24 came to an end, it left a lasting impact on attendees with a promise to return bigger and better in the coming years, continuing its legacy as Asia's largest annual technical and entrepreneurial festival.
