The Astronomy Club at IIT Kanpur celebrated its golden jubilee by hosting the second edition of Astroventure, its annual flagship event, from March 21 to 24, 2025. Since its inception in 1975, the club has played a pivotal role in unraveling the mysteries of the cosmos. This year’s four-day event was a fitting tribute to the club’s 50-year legacy, bringing together space enthusiasts for a thrilling experience filled with workshops, competitions, and hands-on activities.

The event kicked off with Stellaris, a captivating mix of trivia, adventure, and exploration. On March 22, participants immersed themselves in a workshop focused on astrophotography, learning advanced techniques for post-processing. The day also featured Cosmic Voyage, a treasure hunt packed with astronomical puzzles. March 23 offered the Make-n-Take Telescope Workshop, where students built their own telescopes, followed by Escape Room, an engaging challenge that tested participants' astronomical knowledge through problem-solving and mini-games.

The grand finale on March 24 featured a special talk by Prof. Annapurni Subramaniam, Director of the Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bangalore. Her talk provided fascinating insights into the future of astrophysics and career opportunities in the field. The event concluded with a memorable Observation Session at the IIT Kanpur Airstrip, where attendees had the opportunity to stargaze and enjoy the celestial wonders, marking a spectacular end to the celebrations.
