International Research Symposium on Advancements in Precision Healthcare Robotics and Assistive Technology

The International Research Symposium on Advancements in Precision Healthcare Robotics and Assistive Technology was a significant event, successfully hosted by the Center of Excellence in Telemedicine and Robotics at IIT Kanpur. 

The symposium was inaugurated by Prof. Braj Bhushan, Deputy Director, IIT Kanpur, and Prof. Tarun Gupta, Director of Research and Development, setting a prestigious tone for the event. Prof. Bishakh Bhattacharya, the Symposium Convener, played a key role in organizing and curating the event's extensive program. The symposium featured 5 plenary speakers, 13 keynote addresses, 10 invited talks, and 5 research presentations, along with participation from prestigious national and international institutes. 

The notable institutes that participated were IISc Bangalore, IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Gandhinagar, IIT Jodhpur, and IIT Bhilai. DST India, SGPGI Lucknow, MIT and Harvard University in the USA, IIT Genoa Italy, University of Nottingham and University of Southampton in the UK, Vattikuti Urology Institute USA, and Kyushu Institute of Technology, Japan added a wholistic participation.

Prof. Amitabha Bandyopadhyay, Head, Department of BSBE, IITK graced the occasion, and Prof. S. K. Misra from RMLIMS, Lucknow, added an esteemed medical perspective to the proceedings. Dr. Nikunj Bhagat, a faculty member from EEE and BSBE, chaired the session focused on Assistive Technology. 

The symposium provided an invaluable platform for researchers, industry leaders, and academia to present and discuss the latest developments and innovations in the fields of healthcare robotics and assistive technology.
