Engineers Conclave 2025 (EC-2025), the annual flagship event of the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE), was successfully organized in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.

The conclave brought together leading engineers, technologists, researchers, and policymakers from academia, R&D organizations, and industry to deliberate on the themes of “Intelligent Systems” and “Interdisciplinary Cyber Physical Systems.”

Through plenary talks, technical sessions, and engaging discussions, participants explored how innovations in these domains can drive India’s economic growth, digital transformation, and national security.

The Inaugural Session featured an address by Dr. S. Somanath, FNAE, Vikram Sarabhai Professor, ISRO; Chancellor, Chanakya University, Bengaluru; Former Secretary, Department of Space; and Former Chairman, ISRO as Chief Guest along with Mr. J.D. Patil, President, INAE & Member, Board of IN-SPACe; Chairman, Indian Space Association (ISpA); Trustee, L&T Employee Trust; Former Whole Time Director – Defence & Smart Technologies, Larsen & Toubro Limited; and Former Director, L&T Semiconductor Technologies Limited, Prof. Manindra Agrawal, FNAE, Director, IIT Kanpur, Prof Yogesh Singh Chauhan, FNAE, Head, Electrical Engineering IIT Kanpur.

The Conclave was co-chaired by Mr. J.D. Patil, President, INAE and Prof. Manindra Agrawal, Director, IIT Kanpur. The Valedictory Session, chaired by Dr. P. S. Goel, Former President, INAE, summarized key recommendations focused on actionable interventions for policy and R&D advancement.

The conclave reaffirmed the shared commitment of INAE and IIT Kanpur to advance engineering excellence and nurture solutions of national importance — shaping the future of intelligent and cyber-physical technologies.
