IIT Kanpur, in collaboration with ICICI Bank, has inaugurated a new diagnostic facility at the institute. Prof. Manindra Agrawal, Director of IIT Kanpur, formally opened the Campus Diagnostic Center, a modern pathology laboratory located within the Health Center on campus.

Established with generous support from ICICI Bank, the facility is equipped with advanced molecular, microbiology, pathology, and biochemical laboratories. Designed to cater to the medical needs of the entire campus communit, it marks a significant milestone in strengthening in-house diagnostic capabilities at IIT Kanpur

At the inauguration Prof. Manindra Agrawal, Director of IIT Kanpur, said, "This newly launched diagnostic center at the institute would significantly benefit students, faculty, and staff. Testing at this advanced diagnostic center would be much faster, saving a significant amount of time." He thanked the ICICI Bank and its officials for their support in establishing this diagnostic center.

Talking about the newly inaugurated facility, Dr. Pravin Saraswat, Saraswat’s Pathology, Kanpur said, "The launch of this diagnostic facility on the IIT Kanpur campus is a landmark development. It aims to provide accurate and timely diagnostics for early disease detection and effective treatment. All blood tests, including CBC, KFT, LFT, hormones, thyroid, and diabetes tests, will be conducted here. This diagnostic center can test 100 people per day." He added, "The diagnostic center will be operational starting next week."

Professor Sandeep Verma, Professor-in-Charge, Gangwal School of Medical Sciences and Technology, said, "The newly launched diagnostic facilities are intended for all campus staff and students. The specialty of this diagnostic lab is generating accurate results in less time. If any patients need to undergo treatment, they will receive their test reports quickly."

The inauguration ceremony was also attended by Prof. Braj Bhushan, Deputy Director of IIT Kanpur; Dr. Mamta Vyas, Chief Medical Officer, Health Center; Vivek Kumar Singh, Regional Manager, ICICI Bank; Gaurav Varma, Branch Manager, ICICI Bank, IIT Kanpur Branch; and Dr. Pravin Saraswat of Saraswat’s Pathology, Kanpur.
