An MoU has been signed between the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and IIT Kanpur to promote academic and research collaboration. This will include student and faculty exchanges and joint participation in international research projects. The MoU builds on existing exchange programs, with IIT Kanpur students Nandana Bhattacharjee and Rajshri Shukla having visited UTS, and Dr. Matt Trull from UTS currently visiting IIT Kanpur. Two more IIT Kanpur students are set to visit UTS soon, and Prof. Pradip Swarnakar is a visiting professor at UTS.

The MoU was signed by Tania Bezzobs, Director of the Research Office at UTS, and Prof. Tarun Gupta, Dean of Research and Development at IIT Kanpur. The event was attended by Prof. Pradip Swarnakar, Founder and Coordinator, Just Transition Research Centre, IIT Kanpur, Prof. James Goodman, Acting Head of the School of Communication at UTS, and Prof. Devleena Ghosh, Honorary Professor at the School of Communications at UTS.
