The PG, Academics and Career Council (AnC) of the Students'​ Gymkhana, IIT Kanpur conducted a comprehensive academic orientation session for the Winter Batch (2024-25 II Semester) PG students, organized to facilitate a smooth transition for students into the new academic environment. 

The session showcased the initiatives and activities led by PG AnC and covered key topics such as the academic program structure, academic policies, available opportunities, course selection, supervisor allocation, registration processes, and the crucial portals and resources available to IITK students.

The session featured an engaging and interactive discussion with deans, including Prof. Ashoke De (Dean of Academic Affairs), Prof. Pratik Sen (Dean of Students’ Affairs), Prof. Abheejeet Mohapatra (Associate Dean of Academic Affairs), Prof. Sudhanshu Shekhar Singh (Chairperson, SPGC), and Prof. Ark Verma (Faculty Advisor, AnC IITK). 

The orientation session highlighted that IIT Kanpur remains dedicated to shaping the next generation of technology leaders and innovators. The Student Gymkhana representatives, Mr. Dhruv Misra (President), Mr. Yogesh RG Singh (General Secretary PG, AnC), and Student Nominee to the Institute Advisory Committee and Academic Senate, Mr. Shreyank Deepali Goel, encouraged students to actively engage with their peers, faculty, and staff members, all of whom are dedicated to supporting their success. 

This initiative fosters a welcoming and resourceful environment through inspiring talks, practical advice, and essential tools to help freshers thrive on campus and beyond!
