We are delighted to announce the inauguration of the Jeet Bindra PG Research Lab and Jeet Bindra Student Lounge in the Department of Chemical Engineering, made possible by the generous support of our esteemed alumnus, Mr. Jagjeet Singh Bindra (BT/CHE/1969).

The inauguration was honoured by the presence of Prof. Manindra Agrawal, Director, IIT Kanpur, Mr. Jagjeet Singh Bindra, Prof. Jayant K. Singh, Head, Department of Chemical Engineering, Mr. Kapil Kaul, CEO, IITKDF, Prof. Amey Karkare, Dean of Resources and Alumni, Prof. Shalabh Shalabh, Dean of Academic Affairs, and several faculty members and students.

The state-of-the-art facility is dedicated to advancing postgraduate research in Chemical Engineering. This lab marks a significant milestone in our commitment to providing students with world-class resources and a collaborative environment for pioneering research.

This newly designed lounge, inspired by elegant European aesthetics, offers a vibrant and dynamic space where students can relax, collaborate, and connect. With its comfortable seating arrangements, collaborative work areas, and an overall welcoming ambiance, the lounge aims to support students in maintaining a healthy balance between academic commitments and personal well-being.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Jagjeet Singh Bindra for his visionary support. His generous contribution is not only a tremendous investment in our department, but also in the future of chemical engineering research at IIT Kanpur.
