The Campus School at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) orchestrated Saptrang-2023, a Sports and Cultural Fest, to mark the significant milestone of sixty years since its establishment. The two-day celebration was bifurcated, with the first day dedicated to sports and the second to cultural activities.

Sports Day unfolded with the ceremonial inauguration by Prof. Kantesh Balani, the Dean of Resources and Alumni (DoRA), and Prof. Niraj Sinha, PI to Campus School Governing Board (CSGB). Both dignitaries shared insightful perspectives commemorating the occasion, with the gathered audience. Setting the tone for the day, students from Class V welcomed everyone with a melodious “Welcome song.”

The day showcased a spectrum of captivating performances including a graceful "Ribbon drill" by kindergarten students, an artistic display titled "Beautiful creations with colorful dupattas" by Class Prep, a spirited "Maratha drill" by Class I, an impressive "Surya namaskar" by Class IV, and a dynamic "Fit India" presentation by Class III. The highlight of the day was the riveting "Lezium and Stick drill" performed by Class V students.

In addition to these cultural displays, the school hosted the finals of various races and a ceremonious prize distribution ceremony, acknowledging achievements across various activities held throughout the year. Noteworthy were the races designed for parents – categorized for both mothers and fathers, adding an inclusive and participatory dimension to the event.

Transitioning to the second day, the Cultural Fest unfolded at the Open Air Theatre (OAT) with an inauguration presided over by Prof. Braj Bhushan, Dean of Administration (DoAD), joined by Prof. Niraj Sinha and Prof. Kantesh Balani. The cultural extravaganza commenced with a soulful rendition of Ganesh Vandana by the students of Class V. The stage came alive with the vibrant performance of "Mera Nam Chin Chin Chu." Furthermore, pertinent issues were brought to the forefront by students of Class II and Prep, who adeptly presented the disadvantages of excessive plastic use and mobile device usage, respectively.

The cultural spectrum expanded with captivating performances such as "Masti ki Pathshala" by Class I and "Safarnama" by Class IV, artfully portraying the unity in diversity through folk dance. The English play, "My Dream," added a narrative touch to the festivities, transporting the audience into a realm of fairy tales. The traditional music ensemble, "Ritu Rang" by Class V, provided a fitting end to the cultural revelry.

The day culminated in a formal prize distribution ceremony graced by the invited dignitaries, followed by the presentation of the Annual Report by Mrs. Achla Josan, the Principal of Campus School. Mrs. Josan also delivered the Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude and acknowledgment for the collective efforts that made Saptrang-2023 a memorable celebration of six decades of educational excellence.
