Three distinguished personalities awarded the prestigious degree of Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa). Ms. Mary Kom (Indian Boxer), Dr. Devi Prasad Shetty (Chairman & Founder, Narayana Health) and Mr. Natarajan Chandrasekaran (Chairman, Tata Sons) were the honoured recepients at the 56th Convocation of IIT Kanpur, 2023.

Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa) is the highest honorary academic degree granted by IIT Kanpur to honour outstanding individuals to acknowledge their remarkable contributions and achievements in their respective fields.
