The 56th Convocation Day of IIT Kanpur was celebrated today with great enthusiasm. We were honoured to have Shri Narayana Murthy, our distinguished alumnus, and founder of Infosys, as our Chief Guest.

During the ceremony, several outstanding students were recognized for their achievements- President's Gold Medal to Farzan Adil Byramji, Director's Gold Medal (5-year dual degree program) to Lakshay Rastogi, Director's Gold Medal (4-year UG program) to Ananya Gupta, Ratan Swarup Memorial Prize to Nandita Gupta and Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma Medal to Vineeth V.

Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa) were conferred on three distinguished personalities, Ms. Mary Kom (Indian Boxer), Dr. Devi Prasad Shetty (Chairman & Founder, Narayana Health), and Mr. Natarajan Chandrasekaran (Chairman, Tata Sons) in absentia.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Shri Narayana Murthy for his inspiring words that motivated and encouraged our students. We also sincerely thank Dr. Radhakrishnan Koppillil, Chairman of the Board of Governors at IIT Kanpur, for his invaluable guidance and mentorship.

On this auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, we once again congratulate all graduating students on this significant milestone in their lives and wish them the best in their future endeavours. May their journey be filled with success and promising opportunities.
