Constitution Day 2025

IIT Kanpur observed Constitution Day with a formal recital of the Preamble to the Constitution of India, reaffirming the spirit of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.

The event, organized by the Institute’s Legal Cell, welcomed Prof. Braj Bhushan, Deputy Director and as the Chief Guest, Shri Vishwa Ranjan, Registrar which was coordinated by Shri Prakalpa Sharma, Deputy Registrar (Legal).

As part of the ceremony, the Preamble was recited in both Hindi and English, highlighting the values that uphold India’s democracy.

📌Key Highlights:
Prof. Braj Bhushan emphasized the Constitution as a dynamic and stabilizing charter that ensures inclusive development for every citizen—irrespective of caste, gender, region, or economic status.

Shri Prakalpa Sharma described the Constitution as a “living document” that continues to evolve through judicial interpretation and societal progress.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Shri Vishwa Ranjan, acknowledging the contributions of all dignitaries and participants.

IIT Kanpur continues to promote constitutional awareness and uphold the principles of unity in diversity.
