IIT Kanpur successfully hosted the 4th Institute Research Symposium (IRS 2025), organized by the Academics & Career Council, Students’ Gymkhana. The three-day, fully student-led event brought together over 450 participants, including students, researchers, faculty members, and industry professionals.

The symposium featured plenary talks by distinguished speakers from InMobi, SIIC, IIT Kanpur, LanzaTech, Tata Capital, IIT Delhi, and JNCASR. High-impact panel discussions explored interdisciplinary research, industry–academia collaboration, and the evolving research culture at IIT Kanpur.

IRS 2025 also included oral and poster sessions across diverse disciplines, a 24-hour Research Hackathon, and creative research contests such as Metallography, Research Reels, Research Memology, and a Research Debate Challenge.

The event concluded with a Felicitation Ceremony recognizing outstanding contributions across sessions and contests. IRS 2025 was supported by InMobi Glance (Title Sponsor), Tata Capital Ltd. (Gold Sponsor), and RSC and ACS (Associate Sponsors).

The organizing team, under the guidance of Prof. Ashish Garg, Prof. Sheo Shankar Rai, and Prof. Ark Verma, ensured the successful execution of the symposium.
