IIT Kanpur organized the 3 km Swadeshi Sankalp Run (Run for Swadeshi) in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education, Government of India, to mark the 164th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and celebrate National Youth Day.

Participants from diverse age groups and categories enthusiastically joined the run, making the event a grand success. The run was flagged off by Prof. Pratik Sen, Dean of Students’ Affairs, in the presence of Prof. Tajdarul Syed Hassan, Associate Dean of Students’ Affairs, and Dr. Rahul Mangal, Chairman, Sports & Physical Education Committee, with coordination by Dr. Ram Narain, Assistant Physical Education Officer.

All participants successfully completed the run with great spirit and effort, supported by the Institute Security Section and the Health Center for smooth conduct of the event.

The program concluded with an address highlighting Swami Vivekananda’s inspiring contributions to nation-building and youth empowerment, followed by the distribution of certificates of merit and mementos to the winners.
