The Center for Educational Research and Teaching Excellence (CERTEX) successfully organized its first Teaching Assistant and Staff Workshop, a pioneering initiative in India dedicated to equipping Teaching Assistants (TAs) and Teaching Staff with cutting-edge pedagogical tools and techniques.

Over two impactful days, participants engaged in:

• Expert talks on teaching & academic leadership
• Sessions on inclusive classrooms, ed-tech, assessment strategies
• Skill-building in communication, mentorship & conflict resolution
• Case-based discussions & collaborative problem-solving

A dynamic panel discussion featuring TAs, faculty & a UG student

Key speakers included:
Prof. Manoj K. Harbola, Prof. Amit S. Kuber, Prof. Ark Verma, Prof. C. S. Upadhyay, Prof. Santosh K. Misra, Dr. Ritika G. Singh, Dr. Ushasi Roy, and guest speaker Dr. Saumya Sharma (EFLU, Lucknow), with support from Prof. Vineet Sahu and Prof. Aditya H. Kelkar.

This landmark event not only empowered future educators at IIT Kanpur but also sets a national benchmark for TA development and teaching excellence.
