In a major step towards sustainable innovation, IIT Kanpur’s Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre, in partnership with the Pernod Ricard India Foundation, has launched Advaya – The Plastic Circularity Innovation Launchpad.

Implemented under Pernod Ricard India Foundation’s CSR initiative, Advaya aims to accelerate technology-driven solutions promoting circularity in the plastics sector.

The program will support 10 startups with incubation and grants worth INR 20 lakhs each to develop scalable technologies for plastic waste management, recycling, and value recovery. The first cohort includes Evoxia Labs, Zuviron Innovations, Mushloop, Paving+, and SwachhAI Technologies.

Graced by Shri Arpit Upadhyay, Municipal Commissioner of Kanpur Nagar, as Chief Guest, the event also featured discussions on emerging innovations shaping India’s circular economy.

Mr. Gagandeep Singh Sethi, Senior Vice President – Integrated Operations & S&R, Pernod Ricard India, emphasized how Advaya brings together academia and industry to reimagine the lifecycle of plastics. Prof. Deepu Philip, Director (PIC, Innovation & Incubation), IIT Kanpur, highlighted the institute’s commitment to driving sustainable, impact-led innovations.

Through Advaya, IIT Kanpur, and Pernod Ricard India Foundation are empowering entrepreneurs to build a circular and sustainable future for India.
