Named after the renowned statistician Professor P.C. Mahalanobis, this medal is awarded by THE INDIAN ECONOMETRIC SOCIETY (TIES) to recognize outstanding contributions to quantitative economics.

With multiple fellowships and grants in his name, Prof. Ahmad keeps interest in the areas of Macroeconomics, Financial Economics and Applied Econometrics, and is currently pursuing research in Emerging Markets Finance, Climate Finance, and Fintech.
