A huge congratulations to Prof. Bushra Ateeq, Department of Biological Sciences and Bioengineering, on receiving the TWAS – The World Academy of Sciences Award.

Prof. Ateeq is a highly acclaimed researcher in the field of molecular oncology and cancer genomics. Her research employs novel strategies and approaches to explore the genetic and epigenetic changes that initiate cancer progression and drive resistance to chemotherapeutic drugs.

The Academy’s awards are special distinctions for scientists from the globe designed to bring special recognition to their achievements. These are awarded to individual scientists from developing countries in recognition of an outstanding contribution to scientific knowledge in nine fields of sciences and/or to the application of science and technology to sustainable development.
