A huge congratulations to Prof. Animangsu Ghatak, Department of Chemical Engineering, on being elected to the Fellowship of the National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI). 

Prof. Ghatak, an acclaimed researcher, has interests spanning the Mechanics of Soft Materials, Wetting, Adhesion, Friction and Fracture at soft interfaces, Elasto-capillary effect, Locomotion of Soft-bodied objects, Soft Optical Lenses, Fracture of soft gels, Bio-inspired Sustainable Materials, Microfluidic applications, and Design of Universal Nucleant for crystallization of protein molecules.

A recipient of the SERB - Science and Technology Award for Research (SERB-STAR), Fellow of Indian National Academy of Engineering and the Indian National Science Academy, this is yet another feather in his cap.
