Heartiest Congratulations to Prof. Sankar Rath, Department of Chemistry, and Prof. Animangsu Ghatak, Department of Chemical Engineering, on being elected to the Fellowship of the Indian National Science Academy - INSA, a resource pool of knowledge that promotes Science in India and harnesses scientific knowledge for the cause of humanity and national welfare. 

Prof. Rath, a highly decorated academician, has made immense contributions in the field of bioinorganic and biological systems, with the general theme of gaining a better understanding of the heme centers in heme proteins that are vital to the life of almost all living organisms.

Prof. Ghatak, an acclaimed researcher, has interests spanning the Mechanics of soft materials, Adhesion, Friction and Fracture at soft interfaces, Locomotion of soft-bodied objects, Fracture of soft gels, Membraneless fuel cell, and the Design of universal nucleant for crystallization of protein molecules.
