A huge congratulations to Prof. Siddhartha Panda, Professor (HAG), Department of Chemical Engineering, on being elected as a Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE) – 2024.

INAE, founded in 1987, comprises India’s most distinguished engineers, engineer-scientists and technologists, covering the entire spectrum of engineering disciplines.

Prof. Panda’s research interests include transport phenomena, reaction engineering, materials processing and micro/nano fabrication for the development of chemical sensors using printable flexible electronics and silicon electronics based platforms. 

His recent innovations, namely the Haptic Smart Watch and Strip-based test to detect neonatal jaundice, have been pathbreaking and are certain to impact many lives.

IIT Kanpur is proud of his achievements and looks forward to many more laurels to his name.
