A heartfelt congratulations to Prof. Ashoke De from the Department of Aerospace Engineering on being elected as a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).

Prof. De, an alumnus of IIT Kanpur, is an Air-force Chair Professor and Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, along with having a joint appointment in the Department of Sustainable Energy Engineering. He has research interests in High Speed Flows, Flow-Acoustics Coupling, Fluid-Structure Interaction, Turbulence Modeling, Multiphase flows and Combustion, and Energy Harvesting etc.

ASME promotes the art, science and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe. This prestigious fellowship is bestowed upon an ASME corporate member candidate who is responsible for significant engineering achievements and shall have 10 or more years of active practice.
