Another feather in the cap as Prof. Shantanu Bhattacharya, a senior faculty member in the Department of Mechanical Engineering is appointed as the Director of CSIR – Central Scientific Instruments Organization (CSIO), Chandigarh.

Prof. Bhattacharya is a highly acclaimed academician with many accolades like Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, Fellow of the Institution of Engineers India, Fellow of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers, Senior Member IEEE, Fellow of the International Society for Energy, Environment and Sustainability, Abdul Kalam Technology Innovation National Fellow, and Gurmukh D. Mehta & Veena M. Mehta Chair.
