We extend our heartfelt wishes to Prof. (Retd.) Rajendra Prasad, former faculty member and Head of the Department of Humanities & Social Sciences (1982–1985), on the occasion of his 100th birthday.

Prof. Prasad joined IIT Kanpur on 6 August 1963 and served the Institute with distinction until his superannuation on 31 January 1986. As one of the early faculty members, his contributions played a significant role in shaping the academic foundation of the HSS Department and the Institute at large.

On this historic occasion, the IIT Kanpur community conveys its warmest greetings and best wishes to Prof. Prasad on this centenary milestone, celebrating a life devoted to scholarship, teaching, and institution-building.
