The Academics Career Council (PG), Students'​ Gymkhana, IIT Kanpur, in collaboration with Vigyan Bharati, successfully conducted an engaging talk session by one of the distinguished speakers Prof. Ajit Kumar Chaturvedi, Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Kanpur. He delivered a talk on "Communicating Research Results: Is it a Science?

Prof. Chaturvedi, a distinguished academician and former Director of IIT Roorkee, IIAS Shimla, and IIT Mandi, shared his deep insights into effective strategies on communicating research findings. He emphasized the importance of carefully structuring manuscripts to highlight innovation and contribution within the context of existing literature.

The abstract of Prof. Chaturvedi’s talk summarized the crafting of a well-written research paper to the structured approach of scientific proof, highlighting that clear communication of research is indeed a science. He also cited that some authors who picked up this science early in their careers are likely to have more papers in reputed journals and conferences. In his address, Prof. Chaturvedi also elaborated on the essentials of crafting a strong Master's and Doctoral thesis, offering valuable guidance to research scholars on how to succeed in academic publishing. 

The well attended talk saw an enthusiastic response both from faculty and students, which was followed by several relevant questions from the audience, the responses to which led to more insights from Prof. Chaturvedi.

His presence was truly inspiring, and we hope to continue benefiting from his wisdom and guidance in future.
