IIT Kanpur marks 66 years of Excellence and Innovation, celebrating its enduring legacy of shaping ideas, institutions, and impact. The Foundation Day 2025 ceremony was graced by Shri Adil Zainulbhai, Chairperson, Board of Governors, IIT Ropar and IIT Goa, as the Chief Guest.

The felicitation ceremony commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Shri Adil Zainulbhai, Chief Guest, and Prof. Manindra Agrawal, Director, IIT Kanpur, in the presence of Prof. Braj Bhushan, Deputy Director, Prof. Amey Karkare, Dean of Resources and Alumni IIT Kanpur, Prof. Jitendra Bera, Dean of Faculty Affairs, along with distinguished faculty members, students, staff, and guests.

IIT Kanpur honored 21 awardees with prestigious awards recognizing their impactful contributions and dedication. The awards — Distinguished Alumni Awards, Distinguished Services Awards, Young Alumni Awards, and Institute Fellow Awards — celebrated the Institute’s tradition of excellence, innovation, and leadership across disciplines.
