We are proud to share that our esteemed alumnus, Prof. Eshan Chattopadhyay (BT/CSE/2011), Associate Professor at Cornell University, has been co-awarded the prestigious Gödel Prize for the year 2025 alongside his Ph.D. advisor, Prof. David Zuckerman, University of Texas at Austin.

Their award-winning paper, “Explicit Two-Source Extractors and Resilient Functions,” marks a significant breakthrough in pseudo-randomness and explicit constructions, with far-reaching applications in complexity theory and cryptography.

The work introduces novel techniques that open new pathways to tackling long-standing challenges in theoretical computer science.
