Continuing efforts towards deepening global alumni engagement, the leadership of Director, IIT Kanpur, Prof. Manindra Agrawal; Dean of Resources and Alumni IIT Kanpur, Prof. Amey Karkare; and CEO, IIT Kanpur Development Foundation (IITK DF), Mr. Kapil Kaul; embarked on visit across the United States, sharing the institute’s vision and gathering insights from our alumni community.

In the backdrop of IIT Kanpur Foundation completing 25 years of enabling excellence, we celebrated a legacy built on unwavering alumni support that continues to shape the institution’s path forward, at the Silver Jubilee Summit.

This milestone began with a special ceremony to honor our former Director, Prof. K.A. Padmanabhan, whose pioneering efforts were instrumental in laying the foundation for this transformative journey. His contributions continue to inspire our shared commitment to nurturing a culture of giving back.

The leadership team met with some of our most prominent alumni across the USA, exchanging ideas and deepening these valuable connections.

In the Bay Area and San Francisco, they engaged in insightful conversations with Dr. Amit Narayan (BT/EE/1993), Mr. Arish Ali (BT/EE/1996), Mr. Vineet Gupta (BT/CSE/1989), and Mr. Manish Chandra (BT/CSE/1987). In New York, they met Mr. Satish Gupta (BT/EE/1977), Dr. Ram Misra (BT/ME/1968), and Mr. Rakesh Sharma (MT/NET/1978) - longstanding well-wishers and contributors to the institute whose continued engagement reflects deep-rooted trust. The journey continued to Washington DC, where they connected with Mr. Syed Ali Abbas (BT/ME/1986), Mr. Rakesh Gangwal (BT/ME/1975), Mr. Muktesh Pant (BT/CHE/1976), and Prof. Krishnamurthy V Subramanian (BT/EE/1994) - alumni whose global leadership and philanthropic support have been instrumental in driving impact.

The visit concluded with a warm and vibrant alumni gathering in Philadelphia, reinforcing the deep bonds that tie our global community together.

Each meeting was a powerful reminder of the shared commitment that continues to guide IIT Kanpur’s journey - one fueled by the passion, insight, and support of its alumni.
