Prof. Rajeev Alur awarded the prestigious 2024 Donald E. Knuth Prize

Congratulations Prof. Rajeev Alur (BT/CSE/1987), a Distinguished Alumnus, on being awarded the prestigious 2024 Donald E. Knuth Prize for outstanding contributions to the foundations of computer science for his introduction of novel models of computation which provide the theoretical foundations for analysis, design, synthesis, and verification of computer systems.

Prof. Alur is a Zisman Family Professor of Computer and Information Science at the University of Pennsylvania. His research is focused on formal methods for system design, and spans artificial intelligence, cyber-physical systems, distributed systems, logic in computer science, machine learning, and programming languages. With over 52,000 citations, his research has found applications in control theory, cyber-physical systems, multi-agent systems, and program synthesis.
