Distinguished Alumnus Mr. Arun Seth (BT/EE/1973), who was on campus as part of the reunion, visited Prof. Prof. Subramaniam Ganesh, Officiating Director, IIT Kanpur, accompanied by Prof. Sandeep Verma and Prof. Braj Bhushan for discussing the ongoing activities of the Medical School and the grand vision for the future.

Mr. Seth has been Task Force member of the Medical School at IIT Kanpur since the nascent stages of the project and is also member of advisory board of the Medical School and of the Section 8 company IITK-Foundation for Medical Research Technology. He has been involved in various activities of the Medical School project by engaging with other alumni and industry experts. During his visit, he also visited the Medical School construction site.

Mr. Seth, with his deep and long standing experience in the sector of information technology and telecommunications, has been mentoring variety of industries including energy, health, fintech, MedTech, education, hospitality, and others by fostering an innovative entrepreneurial ecosystem. IIT Kanpur bestowed Mr. Arun Seth with Distinguished Alumnus Award 2019.
