Ministry of External Affairs appoints Shri Upender Singh Rawat as the next High Commissioner to Uganda. Shri Rawat is an Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer of 1998 batch. He is currently serving as the Ambassador of India to Panama. In his career, he has served in various capacities. He started as the third Secretary at the Embassy of India, Buenos Aires; served in Indian Diplomatic Missions in Slovakia, UK, and Mexico. He earned his master's degree in Physics in 1995 from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
