We are delighted to share that our Distinguished alumnus, Prof. Mahan Mj (MSc5 /MTH/1992) has been honoured with the Vigyan Shri award, 2025 in recognition of his outstanding contributions to Mathematics and Computer Science.

He serves as a Professor at the School of Mathematics, TIFR Mumbai, and has made pioneering contributions to hyperbolic geometry, topology, and geometric group theory. His remarkable journey beautifully bridges the worlds of science and spirituality, inspiring generations of scholars.
